Saturday, March 25, the second organizational meeting of the Florida Paperweight Collectors was held at the home of Betty and Larry Schwab in Estero, Florida.  There were a total of 10 members present, plus one guest.

Ron Roberts, President, informed the members that a letter had been composed advising that the Florida Paperweight Collectors were meeting again; copies were made and sent to PCA, Inc.  PCA advised they would send a copy to each Florida member of their organization to assist us in obtaining new members.   As a result of this, Ron had an inquiry from a couple in Cape Coral and Paula Hamlin has joined our organization.

After much discussion it was decided that meetings would be held twice a year.  One in the winter and one in the summer.  It was also decided that the meetings would be held on the third Saturday of the month in which we meet.

Many suggestions were made as to a meeting location but no decision was made at this time.

Several members brought paperweights for sale, show, and ID.

A drawing for three items donated by Ron Roberts was then held: A Peter Ben paperweight button; the book Glass Paperweights of the Bergstrom Art Center; and an article on paperweights from the 1965 Women's Day magazine
